((I'm not completely sure where everyone is at the mo. I'm guessing Fred is in her room, Wes is enroute from the Pub, Henry and Shannon are still canoodling at Caritas, and Cordy be kidnapped. Let me know if I'm wrong...))
After Angel had opened the door, Anna just stood on the stairs, looking around the huge lobby of the abandoned hotel. The agency must be doing well to afford this kind of office space. It was sparsely decorated, though, with a few couches and a large round sofa in the middle of the floor. She thought she caught a glimpse of bookcases and desks through a doorway and behind the reception desk as she continued down the stairs.
"Wow, it's like a latter-day Carfax Abbey," she mused, spinning slowly to take in the details of the ceiling. Then she threw a sheepish look at Angel. "Sorry, I'm a bit of a Bram Stoker geek. But you're a good vampire so no crosses or stakes necessary. I mean, you are a good vampire, right? Strange as that may seem..."

"Yeah, I'm the good kind" he wandered over to the recpetion desk "Have what other vampires don't" he paused for a moment and looked at her "Which is a soul, I don't like to talk about it much" he leaned against the desk "But I'm sure the other staff would love to fill you in" he pressed his hands together "Can I get you anything? coffee or tea" he felt odd asking this since it was usuallyWes or Cordelia who handled the whole offering of Coffee to clients.

"No, thanks, I'm fine," she replied. "Still a bit wired from the last few hours. I probably won't get any sleep tonight. Which reminds me, I should probably call in sick to work. Tell them I have a migraine or something; I'll conveniently leave out the details that no one is likely to believe anyway."
She took a seat on the round sofa, placed her messenger bag on the floor and tucked her feet up underneath her. "So what kind of cases do you and your staff usually handle?"

"Well we usualy take the ones that are kinda hard to believe for the average person living in L.A. so yeah, any weird stuff, we're the one's who usually handle it" he said folding his arms and adopted a more business like posture.
He looked at the bag "So, what is it you do exactly?"

"Oh, I'm an artist," she answered. "Well, graphic designer to be more precise. I work for one of the local magazines. Making pretty advertisements for local restaurants and dry cleaners and the like. It's actually a lot more boring than it sounds. But I dunno, the news connection comes in handy sometimes. Like I always know when the big shoe sales are coming up."
She smiled warmly at him, trying to lighten his stoic mood somewhat. The lobby was dark and quiet and a little unsettling. As she wasn't a gifted conversationalist, she hoped that one of his business associates would show up soon.

***Henry enters***
Henry walked down the stairs, saying, "Cordy left for her apartment. Shannon's back at Caritas, she'll-"
He paused when he saw the new face. "Well, hello. Who's this then?"

Anna turned toward the door as another man entered. Muscular, scowling, and dressed in black leather. A bit like Angel but minus the welcoming look. She started to wonder if she'd mistakenly been cast in a Wachowski Brothers film.
He paused when he saw the new face. "Well, hello. Who's this then?"
She stood up from the sofa, extending her hand. "Hi, I'm Anna Kavanagh. I suppose I'm your newest client," she remarked, looking to Angel for guidance.

He took her hand, shaking it and letting go. "Henry Elder. You one of Angel's helpless people?"

Angel shook his head "Henry's on a temporary contract, so don't get used to seeing him around the place" he felt bad taking such a cheap shot at the guy but it was his fault Faith got caught.
He looked at Anna "So, is it just the visions you need help with? or have you seen something you didn't quite like?"

He took her hand, shaking it and letting go. "Henry Elder. You one of Angel's helpless people?"
"Well, I wouldn't exactly say I'm helpless," Anna retorted, a bit defensive. "But yes, I do have a rather unique situation that I'm hoping Angel can deal with. He's already saved my life once tonight. I feel rather guilty asking for more help."
He looked at Anna "So, is it just the visions you need help with? or have you seen something you didn't quite like?"
"Um, a bit of both," she replied, reclaiming her seat on the sofa. "Several months ago, I started hearing things. This horrible, ear-piercing sound...I can't even describe it. I went to the doctor, everything checked out fine. Then the sounds got worse, and they started coming with video."
She rubbed the temples of her still-throbbing head. "I didn't realize it until only recently, but these visions or whatever they are, would always happen right before someone died. Someone close to me. Not family or friends, but complete strangers. I thought it was a coincidence at first. Then I started to think it might be a pattern.
"It happened again tonight. And then I went to see that priest and he tried to kill me. I have no other explanation except that...well, I must be cursed. Or I'm going mad. I don't know if you can be of much help in either case."

Wesley pulled up to the hotel, wearily pulling off his helmet. To say the least, it had been one hell of a night. The woman who had collapsed had been pronounced dead at the scene. Anurysm, the paramedics had guess. A proper autopsy would have to be performed to be certain.
He ruffled his hand through his hair and replaced his glasses as he stepped through the front door. He winced a little bit when he heard it slam shut behind him. He made a bee-line for his office, catching Angel out of the corner of his eye. "Angel," he said, stopping, "I think there's something we need to talk about."

Anna had just finished telling her story to Angel and Henry, who looked decidedly uninterested. It felt somewhat of a relief just to tell someone about the worries that had been plaguing her day after day. Even if they couldn't help, at least she didn't have to feel completely alone.
Her eyes glanced toward the door again as it opened to admit a man with glasses who walked quickly toward the office door. She couldn't believe her eyes, or her ears as the man addressed Angel. She knew that voice. From an encounter that seemed like ages ago.
"Wesley?" she muttered in disbelief.

"Wesley?"
He turned toward the voice, a small nagging in his mind saying that he knew that voice. His busy mind was just unable to completely place the voice with a face at the moment. Then he felt his jaw drop a little when he saw Anna sitting on the couch, looking every bit as shocked as he was.
He worked his mouth for a moment, then took a few steps towards her. "Anna? What...what's happened?" He took in her obviously distressed state. "Are you all right?"

She got to her feet, trying to look calm and collected but not feeling it. "Oh, yeah, I...I'm fine," she assured him. "Got into a bit of a scrape after I left the pub. And your friend Angel has really impeccable timing." She looked down at her feet self-consciously, unsure what to say or how to act around him. After her quick exit, he must have thought her insane.
"The woman at the pub--is she...?" Anna stammered. If she didn't say it, she could still convince herself that it hadn't happened.

"Oh, yeah, I...I'm fine. Got into a bit of a scrape after I left the pub. And your friend Angel has really impeccable timing."
Wesley's eyes went to Angel for a moment before going back to Anna. "That he has."
"The woman at the pub--is she...?"
Wesley felt his stomach do a flip. He knew that she'd find out sooner or later, he'd just hoped that it wouldn't have had to been him that told her. And actually, after she'd fled the pub, he'd convinced himself that he'd never see her again. "She...uh...she died before paramedics arrived. Natural causes, there was nothing anyone could have done."
