"Well, let me come." he said, walking after him.

Angel turned his head but didn't look at him "Sure thing, actually, you being there might convince her to do it"

"I'm not convincing her to do anything that might get hurt her." he said. "And we're taking my car."

Angel smirked "She does what she's told, she won't get hurt" he looked at Henry "It's not who'd do the hurting, it'd be Wolfram & Hart"

"Getting Faith back. You want her to see if she knows anything about where she's being held." he said. "By those two goons. Stick-man and superman."

Angel cocked his eyebrow "Pretty high up? he works very closely with the senior partners, if we don't do this fast, she could be in big trouble"

Wes grinned and looked down at the floor. "Well...it's not exactly something you would picture anyone doing, I'm afraid. This job seems like something better suited for late-night television shows or scam artists. But we're not scam artists," he added quickly.
"I never thought you were," she assured. "And if you were, you wouldn't get much money out of me. But I will pay, I am willing to pay."
She watched as Angel and Henry discussed some other matter and then disappeared out the door. As a silence settled over the hotel lobby, she fidgeted with her hands. "So I guess I owe you an explanation. Well, a few explanations."

Wesley's face fell a little and he shook his head. "No, no. We won't make you pay anything, promise." He smiled at her. "You'll just owe me a drink and a game of darts. Deal?"
"So I guess I owe you an explanation. Well, a few explanations."
Wesley nodded. "Any information you could give us would be helpful. Sometimes the very smallest, insignifican detail can be the thing that breaks the case wide open."

"No, no. We won't make you pay anything, promise." He smiled at her. "You'll just owe me a drink and a game of darts. Deal?"
She returned his smile. "Well, that sounds fair," she replied. "But I do want to compensate you and Angel for your time. I'm guessing rent on this place isn't cheap."
Wesley nodded. "Any information you could give us would be helpful. Sometimes the very smallest, insignifican detail can be the thing that breaks the case wide open."
"Well, where do I start?" she mused, standing up from the sofa and beginning to pace the lobby. "Several months ago, I started hearing things. Just this indescribable noise. So I had my hearing checked, but everything seemed fine. Then the sound started to get worse, and they started coming with video.
"And eventually I realized that these visions or whatever they are, would always happen right before someone died. Someone close to me. Not family or friends, but complete strangers. That's what happened tonight, at the pub. That's how I knew that woman was going to die," she paused to look at him, to see if he was believing any of this.
"After I left there, I went to a church. Don't ask me why. I'd just run out of answers and it seemed like the place to go. Only I ran into this priest who tried to kill me. Angel showed up before he had the chance."
She shrugged. "So that brings you up to date on my life so far. if you think I'm a nutter, I'd completely understand. But Angel said a woman you work with also gets visions. So I'm hoping Lorne did the right thing when he gave me your card."

"Well, that sounds fair. But I do want to compensate you and Angel for your time. I'm guessing rent on this place isn't cheap."
Wesley glanced around the expanse of the lobby, giving her a half-nod. "I think Angel got it on a deal, seeing as how it used to be haunted. But there are still bills to be paid." He looked back to her. "You should speak to Angel about that part. I'll stick with what I told you," he said with a lopsided grin.
She then got up and began to speak, telling about the noises, and the visions, and the deaths. When she finished, she stopped and looked at Wes, an apprehensive expression on her face.
Wesley frowned, deep in thought. "Doesn't sound the same as Cordelia's visions." He gave a half-shrug. "But all telepathic abilities are different." His frown deeped and he leaned forward, leaning his chin on a fist. "Doesn't seem like it's coming from inside your head. The sounds seem to indicate that the source of your visions is from something outside, if you understand."
He suddenly stood, disappearing into his office for a moment, coming back out with a large, leather-bound book. He set it on the counter and began flipping through the old pages, his face intent on his target.

She furrowed her brow and nodded slowly as he attempted a diagnosis. She stood motionless in the lobby when he rushed off to his office, and when he reappeared with a large book she joined him at the counter.
"So I was partly right," she mused. "About spending most of your time with lots of old books."
Then she remembered what Angel had said. "Do you think it might be a banshee? I thought they were supposed to stick to Ireland. Why would it jump the Pond to torment me?"

Wesley glanced up briefly when Anna moved next to him at the counter. Then he turned his attention back to the book, searching for a chapter that he had read many times over.
"So I was partly right. About spending most of your time with lots of old books."
His face flushed a little as he nodded. "Yes. You were correct about that. But there is plenty of good information to be found in these old books. Books published before politics became too much a driving force, before editing," he mused distracted. Pausing to look over a page.
"Do you think it might be a banshee? I thought they were supposed to stick to Ireland. Why would it jump the Pond to torment me?"
Wesley looked up at her and cocked his head to the side. "Angel said it was a banshee? Interesting...Well, he would know all about it. He's from Ireland originally. But yes, that's what I was thinking it was." He pointed to the page, which was written in old English.
He pushed his glasses further up on his nose. "Banshees are part of old Gaelic folklore. The legend spawned from Irish keeners, women who would sing mournful songs after the death of a villager. So, in original Irish history, the 'banshee' cry came after death."
He turned a page, glancing at the picture of a ghastly figure in a grey robe. "Common folklore nowadays has warped history. Now, the cries of keeners has become the cry of the banshee, which now heralds death. To hear it means that there will soon be a death in the family. To see the banshee yourself means that your own death is near." He looked up from the book, where he had been para-phrasing the text.
"If this is indeed a banshee, it's a very strange one. As it says, most banshee cries are associated with the death of family members, not complete strangers." He looked down at the text again. "So we must figure out why this banshee has targeted you in such a way."
He moved away from the book, pacing in front of the counter. "Your name is one clue...Banshees traditionally only cry for 5 great families. The Kavanaghs are one of them."
