Sneaky sneaky. But if it was only alright, you know why they left it out. Incidentally, Jet Li's daughter in the film is possibly the cutest little girl I ever saw. And I'm not a big fan of kids. That's how cute she is. He gets his ass kicked by a Muay Thai fighter, was supposed to be one of those things where he becomes humbled and he strives to be a better fighter. There was also a bunch of scenes with Michelle Yeoh that got cut out too, haven't seen those yet though.

I'm watching Lord of the Rings now....a brilliant film, very immersive but once you turn it off, it kind of all disappears from my mind sort of. I stop caring about it once it turns off. Weird. Still, amazing movie. Although there's so much gay subtext it's unbelievable... Why do you think it's called Lord of the Rings.

Good point.
Kind of funny when Gandalf says, 'You are soldiers of Gondor. No matter what comes through that gate, you will stand your ground.'
Then, three massive fucking monster trolls burst through, and Gandalf's expression says, 'Oh, fuck.'

TYeah, a lot of people talk about the homoeortic subtext in the movie, if I remember rightly there's a scene in which Sam is holding Frodo's hand.

And the scene in the extended version, while Merry is cradling Pippin in his arms like Rhett and Scarlett.
Pippin: Are you going to leave me, Merry? Merry: No, Pippin, I'm going to look after you.
They must have known. They must have known, there's no possible way they can't see that.

A lot of people actually liked it,Ian McKellan was especially full of praise for those scenes, seeing as how he's gay himself.

I think if people knew all the homoeortic subtext the insecure men wouldn't watch and Box office hits would have been way down...lol.
Some people can be so closed Minded, poor guys get so scared. Including some ladies, but eventually they get over it...hehehe ;D

I think it's kinda funny if most of it wasn't intentional, I'm immature that way. McKellen...can't say enough good things about him. Look at this article from wikipedia to do with Ian's attempt to change Michael Howard's position on gay rights:
In 2003, during an appearance on Have I Got News For You, McKellen revealed that when he visited Michael Howard, the Tory then-Home Secretary, in 1988 to lobby against Section 28, Howard refused to change his position but did ask him to leave an autograph for his children. McKellen agreed, but wrote "Fuck off, I'm gay."

According to the commentaries or some documentary on the Lord of the Rings, the idea for Sam to hold Frodo's hand in Rivendell, when Frodo is recovering in the last movie, was Ian McKellen's. And he also said that he'd like to have had a romantic interest for Gandalf... like Legolas, for example. LOL.
I absolutely love the Lord of the Rings trilogy. I have the three special editions and it's an incredible journey.

Guy lost his sex appeal as the trilogy went on though.

Never! Aragorn was the sexiest man in Middle-earth in that film. Legolas might have been prettier but Aragorn was Aragorn. Come on, the rugged look, the long hair, the sword???
