I really can't see Ledger as good ol clownface. I just can't. Granted, I'm a hardcore Joker fan, so i might be a little overly critical. But Tudyk, him i can see. Add a little makeup, some hair coloring and you got a evil clown (although he might be more clown then evil)

I think Ledger has the face for Joker. He's got that coat hanger grin. You never know, he might be fantastic, we've never really seen him play a nutter, so it could be casting gold.
~crosses fingers and hopes it's not casting crap~

There are many people who I would have preferred to see, but I have nothing against Ledger. He's fantastic, he really is. Nolan hasn't gone wrong yet, he's a Bats fan, and Ledger is a helluva actor. So I'm trusting he'll be great.
It's gonna be hell to see boards with OMG HE CANT BE TEH JOKER WE WANT LACHEY HULME BLEH OMG WTF DEATH in the next few months.

You, Me & Dupree - They may as well have called this Wedding Crashers 2 cos that's what Owen "For the last time my nose is not a penis" Wilson thought when he read the script. Matt Dillon and Kate Hudson did a fine job given the crap they where given, it could have been a good movie if they'd offered the Dupree role to someone else.

Harsh times. Possibly the most depressing film I have ever seen. Well acted and gritty, not unlike Training day (which is much much better), but damn it made me want to slit my wrists. It felt like a three hour film even though it was only two. Snakes on a plane. Possibly the funniest film I've seen all year. I really enjoyed this, it's so knowingly daft at times, it's hillarious. Some good old fashioned jumpy parts, nice gross out deaths, and Samuel L Jackson looking cool. What more could you want? Over the top and rediculously far fetched, but brilliant too.

Severance. If you like your horror's creepy and sick, then this is for you. If your sense of humour enjoyed Dog Soldiers and Shaun of the Dead, then this is also for you. It's primarily a horror film about a weekend of team building for some corporate types, who get picked off one by one by someone lurking around their lodge. What makes it special, is Danny Dyer. I've never been a major fan of his, but he's hi-larious in this. It's a nice mix of British and American actors too. The characters are all pretty interesting and the plot is refreshing considering it's basically a slasher film. Go see it.

Snakes On A Plane - One of the best movies of 2006 hands down. I love movies which just do not take themselves too seriously and Snakes On A Plane is one of them
"That's It, I have had it with these motherfuckin' snakes on this motherfuckin' plane!"

You should watch Crank too then. I've said it elsewhere, but while I was watching it, i couldn't help thinking how much like Grand theft Auto it was. If you like Jason Statham (who thankfully hasn't decided to put on a fake American accent for this), then you'll love this. For anyone who doesn't know the plot, he's poisoned and has to keep his adrenaline up to stay alive. Like the bus on Speed had to stay above fifty miles an hour, he has to keep active. Lots of violence and swearing and sex in public, but lots of laughs too. Check your brain at the door and enjoy

Terminator Woman - Despite it'srathersilly title it's not really about a female version of The Terminator,it'sabout two cops, who happen to be kung fu experts, who have to take dowqn a crime lord, who also happens to be a drug lord. I'ma huge fan of cheesy hollywood martial arts movies, all the better if they have decent fights, like the No Retreat,No Surrender Series or The Karate Kid movies. The two copsare okay, the female cop isn't that imressive when she fight but it;s when the other one, played by Jerry Trimble, things start to look up, he displays some good leg work and some really painful looking arm lock techniques. It's pity because the main villian is played by Micheal Qissi, who showed some good Muay Thai moves in the Van Damme movie Kickboxer but it seems he's forgotten all that and just decided toswing his fists like awild man whileTrimble kicks the crap out of him.All in all well worth the 99p I payed for it!
