Carver collapsed into his chair, ignoring the pile of files that needed to be read. He sighed deeply, and opened the drawer in his desk. Everyone was always planning something, someone was usually trying to overthrow them, which was why every time he entered his office, he checked that his gun was loaded. Not that he needed it.
He'd met Lilah two years ago, but he wasn't sure how long she'd worked in Wolfram and Hart. A child of the Senior Partners, he had surpised Lilah when he'd dispatched an incompetent employee that heeded to be terminated by effortlessly throwing him out a window. Lilah and he had always had a good working relationship, and he liked to think of them as friends. He knew that he was one of the few people she trusted, if she trusted anyone at all.
Maybe he'd spend tonight in his office. He spent more time at Wolfram and Hart then he did anywhere else, anyway.
"don't get me wrong, I'm flattered. But you should really know that the way to my heart lies in making my job easier. And I'd really appreciate it if you'd keep a close watch on this Henry Elder matter."
Carver had never been one to take no as 'no' and found himself wandering what she meant by, 'the key to my hear lies in making my job easier'.....did that mean there was still a way?
He shuffled in his seat, and put his feet up on his desk.

To hell with this. Just sleeping.
Make her job easier? He could do that. Starting with Elder, then with Angel. He headed down to Files and Records.

He sat down at his desk, and starting looking through the files, researching.
He would kill Henry Elder, once Faith was dead. It would be easy enough, Henry was only human, after all. Carver, however, wasn't.
Carver made a mental note to cancel the next batch of flowers, instead concentrating on making Lilah's job easier. He hadn't given up on her...after all, there wasn't much else that belonged to him. Everything he had was given to him by the Senior Partners, he had no parents, no family. He was one of a kind. Not human, not demon, just a creature. Just a creature.

Carver awoke, and looked around the empty office.
He took a shower, brushed his teeth, ignord breakfast. His office was a second home, it had what he needed. He'd take care of Lilah's business, first, getting rid of Henry Elder. The place to look, would, of course, be Angel Invesitigations.
He picked up the Elder file, and walked out the door.
