Lilah was halfway through reading a contract when the phone rang. She allowed herself to finish one more paragraph before picking up the receiver. "Lilah Morgan," she greeted. "How can I help you?

"It's Lawrence Huntley. Carver and I tried to retrieve Faith Lehane and Henry Elder. We lost Henry, but Carver managed to subdue Faith. We have her alive. We're bringing her in now."

Elder is a reckless exhibitionist; we'll find him soon enough. You let me know the moment you arrive with Faith in custody."
