He heard a loud crash, coming from the master bedroom. He reluntantly set down his machete, and quickly headed for the bedroom.
When he entered he saw Raquel in front of a massive vault, filled with all sorts of....things. His smile grew wide, and he walked forward. "Raquel. I'm actually impressed."

She grinned as her fingers flitted over rows of sparkling jewelry. "I told you the numbers speak to me," she said. She picked up a glittering diamond and ruby necklace, admiring it. "And so does this."
She fastened the necklace around her neck and slid a few rings onto different fingers. "Where've you been? As if I need to ask..."

"Feeding, fucking, smashing. Pretty much sums up where I've been for my entire un-life."

"Aw, Junior," she purred, letting her hand trail along his shoulder as she moved around behind him. "You were always so wonderfully uncomplicated. And now Elijah's gone, there's no one to force you to act civilized. Must be freeing."
She picked up a stack of papers and started leafing through them, her eyes squinting at all the legalese in tiny print. "Boring, boring, boring..."

"Freeing. That's the word for it. Leota freed me when I first met her, now she's freed me again." he said. "Explains why I act like her lapdog, at least in the eyes of the rest of you."

She tilted her head with an innocent look. "We're not judging you," she said. "Everyone feels a connection to their sire. I certainly got a little co-dependent on Elijah every now and then. But can't be co-dependent on a pile of ashes, now can you?" She shrugged.
"She's powerful, ambitious. Gang needed some new blood. No pun intended." She opened a cedar chest and began to remove what looked like parchment scrolls. "But she has secrets. The kind that might get us all killed. And if you get me dusted, I'll be very cross with you." She looked up at him.

"Well, everyone has secrets." he said. "She's a leader, a general. But yes, if I get you dusted, I would understand your anger."

"Don't care for generals," she muttered, unrolling parchments and tossing them aside if they proved uninteresting. "Sit back in their tents, all cozy and bellies full of food, while they line men up to be cannon fodder. Row after row to fall into pools of their own blood, like dominoes with heartbeats and guns...I miss Bosnia," she mused randomly.
"This one looks interesting," she remarked, as one of the scrolls caught her attention. "Old. Important. Sounds like fun." She handed the paper over to Junior to see if he sensed the same thing.

He scanned through the manuscript. "Who owned this house, it's like a fucking-"
He stopped when he came across some new text. "Oh, this is interesting. Very interesting. Leota would like this, and I do already."

She smiled broadly. "You see it, too? I said I wanted another dose of chaos. This is the perfect recipe."

"Remind me to give you some sort of shiny medal, this is..." he kept smiling as he read down the scroll. "Well....looks like we found the General an army."

"Is that so?" Leota stood in the doorway, she had been eavesdropping on the conversation from out in the hall.

He turned back to her. Should have smelled her, but then there was the pesky lack of smell. Same as a human's. He'd always wondered why, perhaps his strength was a strange sort of compensation. He threw the scroll to her. "It's looks authentic. Raquel found it, and we both think it looks interesting."

Leota caught the scroll and unrolled it. She read in silence, the more she read, the more she grinned.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we have ourselves a plan."
The scroll seemed to be a few centuries old, written by a sorcerer, warning of ancient magic that could bring about chaos and destruction in it's purest form. That of a demon army. A plague on mankind, set loose once, but held and binded by the sorcerer by white magic. There were references to spells and phrophecies and some kind of amulet that held sway over the beasts. Though Leota knew no magic, it wouldn't be hard to find someone in the city who could make sense of all of this. Besides, if her plan came to fruition, it meant only one thing. Leota could have her Empire, she would reign once more. And nothing would be able to stop her.

"And that plan is....destruction."
