"That's LA for you. Everyone has their own problems and nobody cares about other people's problems." he said. "Your kind of town, and sooner or later, entirely your town."
He took a few steps closer. "Building up a new army, there are plenty of vampires in town who have potential. When do we start?"

"Normally, I would say right away, but I believe there is a master bedroom upstairs, in need of our attention." She arched her eyebrow at him and wandered up the grand staircase.

Smirking, he turned and followed her up the staircase, starting to undo his shirt already, licking his lips.

FLASHBACK
Junior thumped on the door aggressively. Leota was watching from across the street. Or she might be halfway across town. It was hard to tell sometimes.
A few minutes later, the door opened slowly, by a tall, balding, stoop-shouldered man. “Hi, Dad.” Said Junior.
“Junior? It’s two in the fucking morning!” he said, rubbing sleep out of his eyes. “What the fuck do you want?”
“I….think I locked myself out of my house. Do you have the spare keys?”
“God, Junior. Useless then, useless now.” Barked his father, annoyed. “At least you’re out of the damn house. One second.”
“I can find them, just…let me in. I’ll show myself out.”
His father peered at him suspiciously, but then decided there was nothing to be worried about. “Fine. Come on in, just don’t stay long.”
Junior smiled slightly, and took one step into the house. Then another. And then the door was shut, and both his father and mother would soon be dead.
END FLASHBACK
His eyes opened slowly, and he turned his head slightly to see the Godess next to him. "Nî hâo mêi(you are so beautiful)" he whispered, not knowing if she was awake or not. He yawned, and rolled over, closing his eyes again.

Leota opened her eyes and smiled at his comment. She turned slightly to see him lying naked beside her. Of all the ally's she ever had, he was the most like her. Ruthless and cruel, but playful at the same time. Still, she couldn't shake the feeling she wished it was Danny lying there and not Junior.
She got out of bed and went to the huge walk-in wardrobe at the other end of the room. After a while of pulling out hideous clothes, she found a red silk robe and slipped it on. Nothing but the best for her now. This town was her's for the taking. She wandered back into the bedroom and teasingly pulled at the heavy curtains, letting slivers of light shine on Junior's body.

He leaped out of bed as he felt the heat rise, and not in a good way. He seized his jeans instinctively, dodging the rays of light. "Never can get too comfortable with you for long."

"Ooops." She said, faking apology. She laughed and headed out the door. "I'm going to inspect my new mansion, see what damage your aquaintances have made."

He finished zipping up, and pulled on his shirt. The 'aquaintances' wouldn't last long, they were useless. Cooper was dumb muscle. Lester was dumb with no muscle. And Raquel was...well, she was Raquel.

Leota padded along the lush carpets towards another bedroom. Not as grand as hers, likely one of the childrens rooms. Sprawled under a Barbie duvet was Lester. Drool hanging out of his mouth as he slept, occasionally muttering in his sleep. Leota rolled her eyes and turned back out the room to see Junior catching up.
"He got any uses at all other than making for a good punch bag?" She pointed her thumb over her shoulder at the sleeping weasel.

"Well, that's exactly his use. He's like a stress toy, you beat the shit out of it when you get annoyed. You can't do that to Raquel or Cooper." he said, and a second later, Cooper strode past them, shirtless but for his scorpion armguard and shades, as he headed down to the kitchen.

Leota watched with glee as the muscle walked past. "You don't need to tell me his uses." She bit her lip and followed him downstairs.

"He's the muscle." he said, and then quickly added, "The impotent muscle." as he realised what was probably on Leota's mind.

Leota threw him a scowl. "Jealousy doesn't suit you Junior."
She carried on down to the kitchen. The usual array of shiny silver utensils covered the maple worktops and she pushed some aside to sit on the polished wooden surface. "Where'd you get the scorpion?" she asked Cooper.

"Made for me. Blacksmith in Africa." he grunted.
JUNIOR
"When I said impotent, I meant impotent-minded." he lied.

"Sure you did." She hopped down from the counter and wandered out into the lounge area where Raquel was watching soap operas on the large plasma tv. Leota ignored her and carried on through the house. Junior followed like a lap dog, just like he always did. It reminded her of why she left him all those years ago.
"What's the deal with Raquel? Is she mental or just very gifted?" she asked him.
