Yesterday,
All my troubles seemed so far away,
Now it looks as though they're here to stay,
Oh, I believe in yesterday.
Suddenly,
I'm not half the man I used to be,
There's a shadow hanging over me,
Oh, yesterday came suddenly.
Why she
Had to go I don't know, she wouldn't say.
I said,
Something wrong-
Lorne quickly took the microphone from Angel's hand "I'm sorry folks, tall dark and brooding here is a little on the manic depressive side so you'll have to forgive his rather parade raining choice song" he gave his customers a curtious smile and took Angel from the stage.
"Of all the songs you could have picked from The Beatle's shiny happy back catalogue, you had to pick the one boyfriend's like to listen to when they've been dumped"
Angel rubbed his temple "I'm sorry, just my mind-"
"Is in two places at once?" Lorne interupted "Look kitten, you're hurtin' cos your former blonde honey is no longer among the living"
Angel looked at him quite distressed at his words, Lorne shrugged "Alright, not the best thing to say but you have to stop blaming yourself, muffin chops and start looking out for ol' Faith"
Angel frowned "What are you talking about? Faith is fine"
Lorne picked up a sea breeze from the bar behind him and sipped it "She's okay now but that vision Cordy had shook you up something fierce, you're afraid what happened to Buffy will happen to her, you need to stop the lone avenger act and start getting a little help from your friends"
Angel looked at the floor, he was right, he'd lost Buffy but he'd be damned if he was going to lose Faith "Thanks Lorne, sorry about the song" he said.
Lorne waved his hand dismissively "Ah no sweat bro, I'll knock out a couple Tom Jones numbers and this place will be swinging like there's no tomorrow"
Angel nodded "I'll see you around" and he started toward the door.
Lorne smiled raising his drink "Nice to see you're warming up to the mike a little more just be sure to pick something a little more light in tone"
