Wesley dug through his stacks of books, unceromoniously tossing volumes to the side. He'd feel guilty later for tossing them, but right now he didn't care. His prized copy of "Demon Myths and Lore" had gone missing. And it wasn't the fact that he didn't have the money to buy a new copy, or that he was certain that Angel had 'borrowed' it that bothered him. What irked him was that it was a seventh edition, nearly 140 years old and not easily replaced.
He sighed and sat down amid the mess of books on the floor, glancing around him idly, as if the book were going to appear out of no where. He distractedly stacked a few of the books into neat piles, then glanced at the clock. He frowned and peered out of the window.
Wes stood up with a slight groan and made his way to the door. It was nearly dark, and he would be expected at work.
