On her way down to the basement, Faith picked up a small knife from the weapons cabinet. She knew what she had to do. Creeping quietly, she made her way down the stairs, finding Henry tied to a chair with his back to her. He strained to see who had entered, but was sat at the wrong angle. Faith stood silently out of sight behind him for a moment.

"Anyone there?" he asked, sensing someone behind him. "Anyone?"

Faith remained quiet, but pulled his head back by his hair and held the blade to his throat. She lent over and looked him in the eye.

Even when faced with death, he couldn't help but smile a little. "Hello, Faith...so you're here to do me in...I guess you should be the one. Better than Wolfram and Hart, anyway."

Still holding the knife to his throat, she replied, "I'm here to make you a deal."

"Well, it doesn't look like I have much of a choice." he said. "What is it?"

"Wolfram and Hart sent people to look for you. I'm fairly sure they know you failed. Me and you are in the same old boat now." She took the knife away and let go of his head. She continued to talk as she circled him.
"There is a way out of this. I let you go."

"Very forgiving, which is actually pretty surprising." he said, not taking his eyes off her. "Not that I'm having the best time of my life down here, but how do you know I won't try again?"

"Because the next time," she stopped and gave him a steely stare, "I will kill you."
She continued to circle him. "We both know Wolfram and Hart won't stop until we are both dead. We have to convince them that we are."

"Yes. I know you will."
"We both know Wolfram and Hart won't stop until we are both dead. We have to convince them that we are."
"Fake our own deaths?" he asked. "Seems like an idea, I'll talk to you more about it if you cut these ropes."

Faith smirked at his attempts to free himself.
"Not so fast Henry dear." She sat on his knee, legs draped either side of him, face about an inch away. She tapped the knife flat against his chest.
"This is how it's going to play. I cut you free., you and me both take the back way out through the sewers to the street above, where I'm sure you've left your piece of crap car. We can't go out the front, cause let's face it, I think Angel will be less than pleased I let his new punch bag out. We both leave. I'm coming with you, until we get clear of L.A. The sudden disappearance of both of us should lead everyone to believe we killed each other. We toss your auto over a cliff and hey presto, we're as good as dead."

"Well....dear Faith..." he began, starting to enjoy her face being so close to his.
"You want to run away with me. Must be my charm." he said in a tone to let Faith know he wasn't in any way serious. "My car is not a piece of crap....but, y'know what? Fine. Sounds better than staying here and dying. I was never a big supporter of that plan."
He was pained, slightly, that he'd have to get rid of his car. It had extreme sentimental value, and he loved it. It was painful just to hear someone refer to it as, 'crap'
"So yes. I'ill do it, we'll both run away. Both dead. Now how about these restraints?"

Faith grinned. "Ladies and gentlemen, we have ourselves a truce." Getting up, she moved round to the back of the chair and cut the ropes but before Henry could get up, she held the knife to his throat again. Whispering in his ear, "Just remember, I might have let you go, but I'm not trusting you. Try anything, and you'll be in your car when it goes over the cliff." She let go of him and headed towards the sewer entrance.

"Duly noted!" he said, walking after her into the sewers.
