As usual Fred was in her room in the Hyperion. It had all of her favourite things in...well a pad of paper and some pens. Her hair was messy and she was still wearing her clothes from the day before. She had stayed in the room because she felt safe there, it reminded her of the cave she had gone to in Pylea.
Muttering to herself all the time mathematics and physics kept her sane, it helped her cope. It was her sanctuary, it was the only place that still made sense to her.
Looking up she paused, pushing her glasses up on her nose. "Need more room, it's too big!" Looking at the wall she smiled, standing and moving to the wall by the door she began writing out her theory for the dimensional portal she had been through twice. If only she could proove it!

As Angel slipped on his jacket he thought he'd check on Fred before he left, she'd spent most of her time in her room and would only come out when Cordelia dropped by. He made sure her room was on the same floor as his own, just in case something happened he could reach her quickly.
He turned the corner and could hear her voice, he slowed down and approuched her door, he stood and listened for a few moments, her heard her again but didn't pick up any other voices, he smiled slightly "Talking to herself again" he though.
Lifting his arm he tapped his hand on the door and waitied for Fred to answer.

Fred was lost in her theory, the numbers pulling her from sense and reason. Losing her time, minutes and hours blended into one another.
A knock on her door startled her, the pen poised she shook slightly. Staring at the door for a short time before walking to the door, the pen still in her hand.
"H-hello? W-Who is it?" she shouted through the still shut door.

"It's just me" he stood for a while then realised she probably still didn't know "It's Angel" he said and stood a safe distance from the door not wanting to frighten her awya when she eventually opened up.
He knew Fred was still adjusting to life back on earth and she seemed happy she had friends like Cordelia and Wesley looking after her, he just hoped that she's evenutally stop writing on his walls.

Fred smiled, it was Angel, the man who had saved her. For a moment she stood just smiling at the door before opening it just a small way to check.
Seeing it was Angel she opened the door, "Oh erm, yeah come in! I was just, you know working...its like all these ideas in my head just need to kinda fall out! I need to get them down before they go...h-how are you?"
Fred smiled he still had not come into the room, and she was unsure if that was a good thing, or a bad thing.

He smiled seeing Fred was now comfortable in her room, he looked at the various writing she'd scribed on the surrounding walls and then he turned to her "I'm doing okay, just thought I'd drop by and see how you where doing"
He walked to the wall nearest him and ran his hands over the variois mathimatical equations which covered it, he frowned slightly "I'm gonna be gone for a couple hours, you think you'll be alright here? I mean I can call Cordelia to drop by if you want me to"

Fred's smile remained though her eyes now resembled a rabbit's caught in the headlights. She was unsure what to say, she liked spending time with Cordelia, but she had a theory that needed working out, if she stopped she might lose it.
She stared at Angel a short time before opening her mouth then closing it again, "W-where are you going? Why will you be so long, I mean it's so late, well not for you, you're a vampire, I mean it'd early for you right?"

He leaned against the wall "I was just going to patrol for a couple hours, there's been some vampire attacks in the downtown area, just wanted to have a look around then I'll be back, been trying to get a hold of Gunn but he's not answering his cell phone"
He reached into his pocket and produced a cell phone "I hate these things, Cordelia is always insisting I take it with me" he put it away and folded his arms "I mean, I can stay if you really want me to, I can always go on patrol another time"

Fred smiled at him, he meant a lot to her, he had saved her. He had lovely eyes, and she hoped he would stay, but knew she had no right to ask if there were people in touble.
Fred sighed and rolled her eyes, "Oh no, I mean people need ya, I am ok, just working on this theory I had about how to open and close trans-dimensional portals, see I think there must be a way to control them, and if we could do that nobody would have to get trapped again..."

He tiled his head listening to her, he could tell by the look in her eyes that making sure no one would go through what happened was important to her, he scratched the back of his head and stepped away from the wall "You know what, I'm not going anywhere, if something happens I'm sure Cordelia will have a vision of some kind and after she's recovering from the skull shattering pain, she'll give me a call"
He opened the door and looked at her over his shoulder "I'll be down in the office if you need me"

Fred smiled, as he stood she looked at the wall and sighed in relief that none of her theory had been smudged. She turned to look at him at the door, she really had a bad crush on him.
"Oh, ok, well yeah, in your office is where you will be, that's good to know, I should be fine though, you know just working away, but if I need ya I be sure to holla!"

Angel smiled, Fred looked happy in her room just doing her theories, she certainly had a very friendly way about herself, he slowly closed the door not taking his eye off her till she was completely outof view, he let go of the handle and listened until he heard the familiar scratching sound of her pen. He rubbed his chin and stepped away from the door before turning on his heel and made his way to his office.

For a moment Fred watched the closed door, she liked being where it was safe, she just sometimes wished she could actually make it out of the room and down to his office to see him, if she needed him.
Sighing she turned back to the wall, "Where was I? Oh yes..." She muttered to herself before resuming her scribbling on the wall.
