"Please do," Anna offered. "There should be cream and sugar around here somewhere."
She leaned against the counter, sipping from her own. "And please tell me more about the song stylings of Mr. Wyndham-Pryce. I didn't know you were so multi-talented," she said to Wesley, who seemed to still be recovering from his encounter with Faith. Maybe a change of subject would help.

Wesley glared a little as Angel abruptly changed the subject, proverbially tucked his tail between his legs, and sulked off. No doubt had some brooding to do so he could meet his daily quota. Wes hoped that Angel didn't think that the conversation was over. No, they had much more to talk about dealing with the Faith situation. Not just his glaringly obvious death wish in handing the unstable Slayer a weapon, but with...the more personal aspect of Angel's relationship with Faith. And they thought the others were blind?
He turned when Lorne spoke, Anna answering, turning to him to explain. "I sang for him at Caritas about a week ago," she explained to Wesley. "And please don't ask me for an encore. I don't want to lower your opinion of me any more than it already is."
He smirked. "Oh, don't worry. As long as you promise to do the same." He then jerked his head up to Lorne when the demon chose to bring up that time they'd sung "We Are the Champions." "Oi! In our defense, we were a little upset. And quite drunk, I might add. Not that you had much useful to tell us."
"I didn't know you were so multi-talented," Anna said, after teasing Lorne (or rather Wes) some more.
Wesley shrugged, moving to the coffee pot to pour himself a cup. "What can I say? I'm just skilled," he said, unable to keep a smirk from crossing his features.

"He is very skilled at darts, I will give him that," Anna told Lorne. "The first time I met him he was wiping the floor with some upstart frat boy at the pub. That's the most entertainment I've had in a while. Well, since the night I was at your club, obviously," she said quickly, not wanting to offend Lorne.
"Um, anyway, Wesley thinks he might have figured out a solution to my little 'ancient curse' problem. So...I'm really grateful."

"Um, anyway, Wesley thinks he might have figured out a solution to my little 'ancient curse' problem. So...I'm really grateful."
He grinned, the excitement of superior knowledge lighting up his features. "Oh, yes. I've just got one more element to track down, and then I believe we'll have all that we need. Someplace called the Tiger's Eye." He shrugged. "I haven't spent much time in Chinatown, but I surmise that it shouldn't be too difficult to find."

Wesley made a face, looking around the lobby as if Cordelia was going to pop out from behind a desk and shout 'surprise!'. He frowned. "You're right...I haven't seen Cordelia in some time. She had been feeling ill, so perhaps she's not been coming in. You'll have to ask Angel."

"Yeah, because he's in such a talkative mood," Anna observed. "Cordy seemed fine this morning. Well, till the vision. Maybe she's still recovering."
"Someplace called the Tiger's Eye." He shrugged. "I haven't spent much time in Chinatown, but I surmise that it shouldn't be too difficult to find."
"That is the beauty of Mapquest, my friend," she said, moving to the laptop on the computer and typing quickly. Soon she had a printout leading from the office to the antiques shop in Chinatown. "Doesn't seem to be too far away," she remarked, handing the paper to Wesley. "Do you mind if I stay here and sit this one out? Don't want to cramp your style."

"Cordy seemed fine this morning. Well, till the vision. Maybe she's still recovering."
Wesley nodded. "That could be it. Her visions seem to be rather bad as of late, haven't they?" Then he shook his head, realizing that neither of the people in the room would really know.
Then he watched, amused, as Anna went over and typed away on the computer for a moment. Then she handed him a printout map. "Do you mind if I stay here and sit this one out? Don't want to cramp your style."
He glanced down at the paper, grinning. "Well, look at you. And no, it's quite all right if you'd like to sit this out. I shouldn't take too long."

"Just don't go thinking you're the only multi-talented person around here," she smirked. "I'm sure Lorne can keep me entertained till he has to get back to the club. And yes, before you start an overprotective shpiel, I do still have your cell phone number. I'll be sure to call you if anything goes amiss. So good hunting, okay? I'll man the phones in case Cordelia calls."

Wes had to smirk at Anna. He held up his hands. "No overprotective shpiel from me. Just...watch out for Lorne. He likes to trick people into singing so he can do a reading," he said, shooting Lorne a small grin. He looked back at Anna briefly before nodding. He retreated back into his office briefly, grabbing his leather jacket and making sure he had the keys to his bike. Then he headed out to where he'd parked the motorcycle, heading off towards the Tiger's Eye.

Lorne smiled and wrapped and Arm around Anna. "we got everything covered. Good luck." He smiled and watched Wesley Exit. Lorne smiled and turned to Anna. "What a guy huh?" Lorne smiled knowing Anna was smitten.

"Yeah, he seems to be one of the good ones," she agreed, watching Wesley leave. Then she paused and turned to Lorne as he smiled down at her. "Oh, no," she said, shaking loose from his embrace.
"No, no, no. I've seen that look before, and I'm telling you no. I mean, you were the one who told me I had no future. Remember that? So I am certainly not in the market for a relationship. Yes, Wesley may be smart and funny and kind, but that doesn't matter because I am Mrs. Bad Luck. And he deserves better than that, which I am totally fine with."

"Anna your in the company of a great group, They save more people than you can ever expect. You'll be suprised in what people can do around here. Your life is saved, no worried sugar plum..." Lorne knew if anyone could save this Girl, it would be wesley. He would lift whatever curse and Anna would be much better.
"Plus life is to short, you should take whatever chance you have and seize it by the hornes. Cause as you said, you could be dead tommorrow." He smile and placed his coffee down, than he had an idea. "Sing me a little something, were the only ones."
(K i miss talking with you!!! :-( )

"Very appropriate of you to mention horns," she quipped. "But I'm not a seizing kind of person. Especially not with everything I've been through the last few months. Surely you realized that the last time you read me."
"Sing me a little something, were the only ones."
She crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes at him. She highly doubted he would see anything different from the last time. But maybe, just maybe, since Wesley had found a way to break the curse, the outcome would be different. Slightly more positive and less fatalistic.
"Alright, fine," she relented. "But only because I know you won't shut up about it until I do." She started to sing that Kelly Clarkson song that always got stuck in her head:
Grew up in a small town And when the rain would fall down I'd just stare out my window Dreaming of what could be And if I'd end up happy I would pray Trying hard to reach out But when I tried to speak out Felt like no one could hear me Wanted to belong here But something felt so wrong here So I'd pray, I could break away
I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly. I'll do what it takes till I touch the sky. Make a wish, take a chance, Make a change, and break away. Out of the darkness and into the sun. But I won't forget all the ones that I love I'll take a risk, take a chance, Make a change, and break away
"There. Happy now?" she asked, picking her coffee cup back up and sitting down at the desk.

Lorne listened to the Girls song, as he did once, before. but this time his Vision came out all Fuzzy. It puzzled him, cause he wasn't sure what he saw. "well thats a wacky twist, never happened to me before. my vision got all garbled, so either the higher beings up there are all confused or your on your way to salvation..."
"I saw wesley, fighting the Banshee and you hovering in a corner of some kind. Must be scared, hell i be scared too..." sitting down he held his head. "Never got the headaches before either... hmm they just not want me to see your future..."

"Never got the headaches before either... hmm they just not want me to see your future..."
"Oh, I'm so sorry, Lorne," she apologized. "I'm sure Cordelia has some pain pills around here somewhere." She located a bottle in the bathroom's medicine cabinet, retrieved a glass of water and handed the glass and pills to Lorne. "So the higher-ups are being vague? Maybe no news is good news," she offered.
Returning to the desk, she logged into the computer to check her work email. "I don't know why I bother. It's probably all junk mail," she remarked. She looked through the list of messages till one caught her attention. "Well, that's weird. A friend of mine says her landlord was murdered a few nights ago."
She clicked on the news story link to read more as Lorne looked over her shoulder. "Russell William, found dead in the basement of the Hollywood apartment complex which he managed. No suspects. No motive. Detective Sergeant Vincent Hayes had no further comment on the investigation but was confident that the murderer would be brought to justice."
