*Continued from safe and sound?*
Faith burst through the roof door, almost knocking it off it's hinges, let out a scream she had been holding since she left Angel's room and fell to her knees. She had wanted to hit Henry, but instead found herself the roof top with both fists, letting out her tears as she did so.
As her rage subsided, she pulled herself together, not sure how or why she had lost control so quickly. She wandered over to the edge of the roof and sat with her feet dangling over the side, her back to the roof door.

Fred followed the sound of Faith's scream up onto the roof of the hotel. She moved quietly out onto the space and saw Faith sitting on the edge.
"You're no gonna jump are ya? I missed you?"

Faith had heard Fred's quiet footsteps approach.
"You're no gonna jump are ya? I missed you?"
Fred's sweet southern voice cheered her up and she smiled to herself, but didn't look round.
"No Fred, I'm not gonna jump." She sighed, then spun one leg back over so she was sat sideways on the low wall.
"Missed you too, little lady." She offered a smile, trying to cover her sadness.

Fred smiled at her friend, as she moved over to where she was. Sitting on the low wall she giggled, "I'm glad Angel could find you...I dont like that Henry though, he's too angry...well I mean Angel is pretty angry a lot, but in a nice way...if there is a nice way..."
Fred giggled and rolled her eyes, "Listen to me just yammerin on! It's good to see ya back! I guess your other dimension was dirty too?...Oh I don't mean to be rude, just I looked like that too when I got back from Pylea!...say they didn't make you queen there did they? Cause they made Cordy queen, but not me in Pylea!"

Not really wanting to, she had to admit it, "I wouldn't be here without Henry's help. All the same, I think you should steer well clear of him."

She looked down at herself again. She had become so accustomed to being dirty she didn't notice it anymore. It warmed her heart to hear Fred's little rambles again and she felt her anger slipping away.
"What, this isn't a good look for me?" She held out her hands, mock inspecting her nails like Cordelia would do and smiled.

Fred laughed, "You're funny...I missed you terribly...oh I know we havn't known eachother long, but I have never had many friends....I'm glad you're back...me and Wesley were in my room forever looking for clues...in the end Angel and Henry found the answer...which is cool...I mean I well I kinda wanted to help? Sounds silly don't it? Me helpin!"

For a second, Faith got a chill up her spine at the mention of Wesley's name. In her head she saw flashes of images from the hell dimension. Wesley standing over her, letting Angel's ashes slip from his fingers. She shook her head a little and pushed them away. It wasn't real.
...I mean I well I kinda wanted to help? Sounds silly don't it? Me helpin!"
"Don't sound silly at all, Fred. It means a lot you wanting to do that for me. You're not the only one with not many friends. Glad I can count you among mine."

Hesitantly, Henry crawled up through the roof door, and saw Fred and Faith just sitting, talking. Hoping they'd calmed down, he walked toward them.

Fred smiled wide, "Yeah you're a good friend Faith, I am sure glad you came now...oh I know you bein' a slayer an' all keeps ya lonesome...ut you can always count on me!..."I wondered if I might ask you a question? I wonder if ya knew how I can help Angel to fall in love with me?...I think he's dreamy!"

The question caught her off guard. Fred had feelings for Angel? She thought back to their kiss. What did it mean? Was he just trying to prove he was real, or was it something more than that? It hadn't occured to Faith that she had feelings of her own towards Angel and now she really didn't know what to say to Fred.
"I... uh...." She faltered, thankfully noticing Henry appear out of the corner of her eye. "I'll get back to you on that one." She said to Fred as she stood up to confront Henry.

Fred looked down, as if she was about to cry, humiliated and hurt. She forced a smile, but inside she was dying.
"Oh...well..thats good to know...everyone's happy...right?"
