Popcorn in hand, Faith began snooping around the offices, looking for something to take her mind off the demons in her head. Preferably a tv. As she walked past Wesley's office, she caught sight of something on his desk and did a double take. As expected in Wesley's office, several books were splayed out on the desk, some open, others just piled on top of each other. But what caught her eye was an antique looking comb sat on top of one of the piles. Wedging her popcorn bag between two stacks of books, she picked it up to get a closer look. Always figured Wes was very feminine, she smirked to herself.
She put it back down and began scanning the open books. As she circled the desk, intrigued by the page headers (banshees, ghosts, spirits...), she sat down in the comfy office chair. Scooping up a handfull of popcorn to eat, she began leafing through the pages, reading snippets about how spirits could return to take those they have been wronged by. It made Faith feel a little uneasy to say the least. In her head, she saw a flash of her delivering the killing blow to an innocent man, something that set her off on the wrong path back in Sunnydale. It made her jump and she slammed the book shut quickly, accidentally knocking a couple of other's off the edge of the table with her elbow. "Crap!" One of them hit an old style radio sitting on a nearby shelf, knocking the power switch on.
"Alright folks, that was Lord Byron, self proclaimed vampire and a psyc ward case just waiting to happen...So, now folks this is The World As We Know It and I'm you're host Mike Hudson and today's topic of discussion is...the supernatural. Is it the real deal or just a pile of steaming doggie do. The lines are open for your calls."
"Now this should be interesting..." She relaxed back in the chair with her popcorn. Feet up on the desk, listening to see whether or not people in this city really knew what was going on.

Faith was laughing out loud listening to this guy shoot down the oblivious morons calling in.
"Well, the lines are open if anyone wants to give us a call and tell us about the supernatural"
"Hmmm...bet I could tell you something supernatural..." She reached across the desk and picked up the phone, dialling the radio station number.
"You want supernatural?" She said when someone answered the phone. "Put me on air, I'll tell you about supernatural."

"Well Mike," she said in her usual playful tone, "you sound like you want to talk to someone who really knows what's lurking in this city." She waited for him to try and mock her.

"You've seen things? I bet it ain't even a dent on the stuff I've crossed paths with." She lent over and picked up another hand full of popcorn, cradling the phone on her shoulder while she ate and talked at the same time. "Maybe I should start with the infestation of vamps we have here in L.A. And I ain't talking about the sexy hollywood film star ones. I mean the real, rip out your throat and spill your guts kind, that I see time after time."

"Right, vampires, met a few of those in my times, doesn't it just drive you crazy when you can't get the dust off your favourite pair of jeans, seriouisly, there sould be some kind of vampire stain removal, so tell me Faith, you seem like a gal who's seen all and heard oall the thing which go bump in the night, what's the strangest thing you've seen or heard in this city, besides the people who I get on my show"

Faith chuckled, seems like this guy knew what he was talking about.
"Tell me about it. I mean as if it ain't bad enough you gotta smell their undead breath before you stake 'em, they gotta ruin your clothes when they die. And don't even get me started on demon blood. You might as well bin your pants if you get that on them"

Hmmm...maybe a little bad press for our favourite evil law firm wouldn't go amiss...

"You mean home of the infamous hellmouth? Hell yeah, I been there!" She was surprised by his knowledge on the subject. For him to have brought up Sunnydale in a conversation about the supernatural, he had to know what he was talking about.

"For those who don't know what the heck we're talking about, Sunnydale is known amoung the supernatural community as Spook Central, lot crazy crap goes on there, so if you wanna know what the supernatural really is like, buy a bus ticket and get there but I ad vise you not to go out at night unless you want to end up deathly allergic to sunlight"

"Yep, you name it, they got it in Sunnydale. Vamps, werewolves, witches, zombies... the list goes on. You kill one and two more fill it's place on the food chain. The hellmouth just draws evil to it." She scoffed down some more popcorn. "But it's wicked good fun, if you're in the mood for a hunt."

"Not really. I guess it just explained a lot, y'know. Originally i'm from Boston way, and there's all kinda odd stuff goes on up there too. I reckon I always knew things weren't quite what they seemed. So when I was thrown into all this, I kinda just went with it." She paused for a moment thinking about the past.
"It's pretty much my life now."

I'm from that way, lot a weird stuff did go on there but soon as I was old enough I moved here to sunny California, so you just seemed to easily adjust to it all huh? yeah, it's rare these days, seems the average joe on the street can't seem to get to grips with what's really out there, I think peopel are aware of it, they just don't wann know about it, outta sight outta mind, know what I mean?"
