I have a funny feeling I know what your planning. Been a while since I've tried my hand at some good ol' fan fiction....

Well, I tend to absolutely hate horror movies. They usually have no plot, bad acting, and are just plain dumb. That's why I've never seen it.

That's Evil Dead in a nutshell but you should at least see Army Of Darkness which is the third in the Evil Dead trilogy, it's more nutty comedy then horror and all the events in the first two movies are explained ina five minute proluge sequence so seeing the first two movie isn't really needed.

And yet Shaun of the Dead is a homage to an incredible amount of horror movies...zombie movies, to be precise...Evil Dead being one of them.

Zombie movies are underapprieciated. There's a lot more to them then people give them credit for.

It's mainly thanks to the efforts of Romero they've gained this cult status, they'd be a very small sub genre of film if it wasn't for his Dead trilogy. Zombies are the only thing in horror films that freak me out, I'm not sure why, cos they still resemble people I suppose and the whole situation seems more real then say, something like The Thing, god I love that movie.

I can't believe they're talking about remaking Evil Dead. Remake Casablanca. Remake Gone with the Wind. Remake anything. But leave Evil Dead the hell alone.

Hell, every horror franchise is getting remade, why not Evil Dead? the fans seem more comfortable with this one as Sam Raimi, Rob Tapert and Bruce Campbell are keeping a close eye as it develops, one thing Raimi did stress is that the events and characters must be different from the original, I think he was aware that fans don't want to see anybody else try and play Ashley J Williams.

Yeah Kurt Russell and John Carpenter are a good pair, all the movies they've worked on together have been solid.
